How and why we started Anna of Asher.

In 2015 Magen Helms [graphic designer] and Nicole Arbuckle [Bible Study teacher / writer] teamed up to work on Bible Study curriculum for their local church. Guided prayer sheets were included before each day of study. Guidance from the Holy Spirit and encouragement from friends spurred us on to start Anna of Asher. We pray these resources will aid you in knowing God the Father, Son and Spirit in an intimate and powerful way.
Our ministry and this journal are named after Anna of Asher, a prophet, whose story is found in Luke 2:36-38. Anna was a prophet who had an unusually close relationship with God.
Intimacy came from spending time with God in worship, prayer, and fasting. She was devoted to it. Her intimacy with God through prayer encompassed 84 years. Talk about persistence and devotion.
Anna's time with God enabled her to recognize Jesus as Savior when He came to the temple. She gave thanks and proclaimed the young child, Jesus, was the one to bring redemption to the Jewish people.
Be like Anna: persistent in worship and intimate with God in prayer.
